Round reconciliation: what went in, what came out, what did not add up

Three numbers per round is enough. The third — the unaccounted one — is the only one that tells you anything new.

When a round closes, look at three things: how much green went in, how much fired came out, and how much was kharaba.

What is left — in, minus out, minus kharaba — is unaccounted. A percent or so is normal on any kiln: breakage, small counting errors. Above three percent there is usually one reason, and it is a different reason each time: a miscount, a vehicle that left the gate without a challan, or an entry that was never made.

What matters is that the number exists for every round. Four percent on one round says nothing. Six rounds reading 1.2%, 1.4%, 1.1%, 3.9%, 1.3% — that fourth round is worth a question.
